BJP spent taxpayer's money for nat executive: Congress (ToI)

TNN Nov 17, 2013, 04.51AM IST ...Citing information he obtained under the RTI, Panjikar said that all BJP functionaries who attended the national executive were labeled as 'state guests', when actually only 20 out of the 60 invitees qualified as 'state guests'. Panjikar also said that another 26 BJP functionaries illegally stayed as state guests. "It is difficult to imagine that the party that boasts of zero tolerance to corruption and claims to be a party with a difference is indulging is such falsehoods," Panjikar said. He said "the government's protocol department booked 49 rooms in the Marriott, nine rooms in the Cidade de Goa and one each in the Taj Aguada and Leela Beach".
