‘Why only Moti Dongor, why not Chimbel and Zuarinagar?’ - Herald
February 12, 2013
MARGAO: “Why only Moti Dongor or Talsanzor,” was the question posed by Abdul Matin Carol as the Administrator of Communidades, South, went about serving demolition notices on the parties atop the hillock on Monday.
Carol disclosed plans to once again knock the doors of the Governor seeking his intervention in the matter. He said a petition is pending against the government before the Goa Human Rights Commission, but the government has delayed filing of its reply till date.
He said there’s a major illegality right near the residence of the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister at Mapusa, but the government is silent on clearing the illegality.
“Similarly, illegal structures have come up at Sada and Waddemnagar in Vasco, Zuari Nagar in Sancoale and at Chimbel, but the government is only targeting Moti Dongor,” he said, while demanding to know whether the government is hell bent on targeting Moti Dongor because the residents had not voted for the ruling party.
He also questioned to know how come the Administrator of Communidades initiated action when the issue falls within the domain of the District Collector.
