Hindu right-wing body wants Hindu nation Bindiya Chari, TNN | Jun 3, 2013, 04.40 PM IST PANAJI: The four day "all-India Hindu convention" of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) for the establishment of a Hindu nation starts in Goa from June. Organizers claimed that over 250 dignitaries from 20 states and also delegates from Nepal, Malaysia and Pakistan will participate in the convention. Addressing a press conference on Monday here, Ramesh Shinde, national spokesperson of HJS, said that the convention will resolve problems faced by the nation and several Hindu communities in other countries. "Our mission is to form a Hindu nation for world peace. The convention will galvanize the movement," said Shinde. Justifying their demand for a Hindu nation, Shinde said the word "secular" was inserted in the Constitution of India during emergency, and hence, they would continue with their demand for a separate Hindu nation. Shinde made the statement when it was pointed out that the Constitution of India is for secular India and does not stand for any particular religious community. At the first convention held last year at Ramnathi in Ponda, HJS had also resolved to form a Hindu nation. Also, deliberations were held primarily for the protection of Hindus in Kashmir and West Bengal. Shinde further said that in addition to the presence of religious preachers, many professionals will also attend the convention. They will deliberate in order to find out a way for uniting Hindu organizations fighting against injustices meted out to Hindus in other countries. "The schedule for the protection of Hindu community in the neighbouring countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Malaysia will be finalized during the convention," he added. Also, the convention will focus on forming an organization at the national level for the protection of cows and the development of cow-lineage. The organizations that are actively working at various levels for the protection of cows will also participate in the convention, organizers said. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/goa/Hindu-right-wing-body-wants-Hindu-nation/articleshow/20410097.cms
