Bhatkal or Bhatkar stayed under nose of Anjuna Police?

Bhatkal stayed under ruse to start business in Goa TNN | Sep 18, 2013, 03.24 AM IST PANAJI: India's most wanted terrorist, Indian Mujahideen (IM) co-founder Yasin Bhatkal arrived in Goa as a businessman and stayed in the state for over a period of three months in Anjuna. A member of the National Investigative Agency (NIA) team told TOI that Bhatkal had stayed in Goa from September 2011 to November 2011. Bhatkal had rented a house for one year, from September 2011 to September 2012, but stayed only three months, the house owner told NIA. Bhatkal had told the owner that he was a businessman and had come to Goa to start a new venture during the tourist season. He also said that if his business runs well then he may do a legal agreement with the house owner and extend the duration of his stay. Sources said that Bhatkal had contacted the owner after reading the hoarding placed outside the house where it was mentioned that the premises were available for rent and the contact number was included for further details. Bhatkal had provided his election card to the owner of the house for tenant verification. NIA team had recovered half a litre chemical liquid, grey powder, glass tubes, measuring cylinder, motor cycle and some cooking utensils. The house owner told NIA that as he was staying in Mapusa, he did not know how many people were residing with Bhatkal. The NIA team brought Bhatkal to Goa on Sunday in connection with its investigations. Bhatkal is a native of Bhatkal in Karnataka, which is around 200km from Goa. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/goa/Bhatkal-stayed-under-ruse-to-start-business-in-Goa/articleshow/22673126.cms
