Now, Gujarat tourism woos Goans TNN | Aug 18, 2013, 03.06 AM IST PANAJI: In a bid to woo Goans to spend their vacations in Gujarat, the Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Ltd will hold a series of road-shows and promotional activities in Goa. At a promotional event for tour operators in Goa on Saturday, corporation chairman Kamalesh Patel announced a slew of celebrations from September to February-Tarnetar Fair, Navratri Festival, Rann Utsav and Kite festival. "Gujarat is already a popular destination for people from Goa; they head to the temples at Dwarka and Somnath, or visit the wildlife sanctuaries to see the Asiatic lion. We want to make our tourists' stay more vibrant and personal by inviting them to join our cultural festivities," said Patel. He added, "We have identified 10 places along Gujarat's 1,600-km coastline to develop into tourist hotspots on the lines of Goa's beach tourism facilities.
