Hyderabad girl accuses 'friend' of raping her TNN | Jun 23, 2013, 06.49 AM IST PANAJI: A 21-year-old girl from Hyderabad, who works in Bangalore, was allegedly raped for three days at a guest house in Dona Paula by Mohammed Nazeer, 22, of Hyderabad, with whom she had come to Goa for an outing. The girl had arrived in Goa in the month of May with three boys including the accused. Police said that a few months back, the girl had met the accused in Hyderabad and both of them got friendly. Both the victim girl and the accused exchanged mobile phone numbers. Police said both the victim and the accused planned to visit Goa for an outing and booked a room at a guest house in Dona Paula for three days. The victim girl, the accused and two other boys arrived in Goa via Belgaum. Police said during their stay in Goa, the accused person allegedly raped the victim girl after she was given alcohol to drink. Police also said that the victim girl did not complain to Goa police immediately after the incident which took place between May 6 to May 8, 2013, but waited to reach her hometown to lodge a complaint. Police also said that the girl had not informed the other two boys who were with them about the incident. The victim girl, in her complaint to Hyderabad police, said that the accused person had forcible sexual intercourse with her without her consent. Police said that Hyderabad police had recorded the statement of the two other boys, who were with the victim and accused in Goa and both of them denied that any such incident had taken place. The girl's medical test was conducted in Hyderabad and the report is awaited. As the incident was reported in Goa, Hyderabad police has referred the case to North Goa superintendent of police Vishram Borkar, who informed the Panaji police to register the rape case. Police said after the preliminary investigation with the guesthouse employees, they will summon the accused to Goa for further investigation. Police also said after getting permission from sub-divisional magistrate (SDM), they will request the victim girl to depose her statement before the SDM. Presently, the victim girl is working in Bangalore.
