Injustice on right to protest - LtE

The decision of the State Government to prohibit protests, morchas, rallies and processions during the 10-day event of IFFI is most deplorable. Such actions of the BJP Government only goes to demonstrate its intolerance to the Constitutional rights of citizens. Today the Government uses the the excuse of IFFI to clamp down on human rights, tomorrow it would be encouraged to do so for other frivolous reasons. Goans need to stand up against this serious injustice and non-cooperate with such dictatorial governance. The cheer leaders of the BJP who promised parivartan during the elections need to impress upon their Government to pull back such repressive orders and respect people's right to show dissent in a civilised manner.
