FORCE should stand strong

(View published in Gomantak Times, 2/5/11)

The intentions of the Baratiya Bhasha Suraksha Manch in polarising communities of Goa is more than clear. Having no much support within Goa it is turning to the mergerists on the borders of neighbouring states. Therefore the threat to close the borders of Patradevi and Molem.
The demands of parents for grants to primary education in English medium for their children are more than justified and does not threaten the survival of any religion. If any language faces the threat of extinction, it is because of the sectarian nuisance of some elements. If primary education in Kananda, urdu and Gujarati can be funded by the Government, it has to do the same for English which is part of the culture of a section of Goans due to historical factors.
FORCE must not succumb to the threats of those who are habitual supporters of vandalism and violators of human rights.
