The
efforts of public spirited citizens to throw light on the plight of the
minorities under the RSS backed BJP government deserves appreciation.
However, the imputation that the Archbishop and the priests played a
role in the 2012 elections to defeat the Congress seems more of hearsay
and an unconscious endorsement of the very propaganda unleashed by the
communal forces.
It
is most unfortunate that the actual culprits, within and outside the
Church, who misguided the people due to their bias and over enthusiasm
for bringing about a political convergence of Hindus and Catholics to
eliminate the Congress, are now playing innocent.
