Condemn Margao incident

[Letter To Editor in Herald and GT of 5/3/2013] Condemn Margao incident We condemn the violent suppression of the constitutional freedom of expression at Margao by the mining mafia which is now desperate after it has miserably failed to keep the truth under wraps. The anti-mining people have never prevented the pro-mining campaigners disguised as 'affected people' from publicly voicing their opinions. It is not anyone's business where the environmentalists hold their programs. The mafia seems to be mastering the courage to terrorise the public due to support from the State government. The people of Goa need to rise up in solidarity to voice their opposition to the mining activity which is being promoted as the economic life-line of Goans by none other than transporters and contractors who have been flourishing at the cost of the environment and public health.
