Anna Hazare preaches to the world but does not apply his teachings to himself. His latest advise that one should keep aside ego and be able to digest insult and humiliation while working in the social field has not been applied to his dealing with the Government on the Jan Lok Pal Bill. He has not forgiven the Congress Party for the humiliation he had to undergo during his recent street show in Delhi. He forgets that nowadays people throw stones at anything and not necessarily at only fruits on the trees. A social worker must have the ability to accommodate other opinions and broker a consensus with colleagues when working on social issues. But with Anna claiming that he is the keeper of his own conscious and ignoring what others have to say, he does not believe in democratic decision making and projects himself as a dictator.
