Expressways as good as SEZs in Goa

The government tries to project itself as doing a great favour by promising
to charge only Rs. 500 for a monthly pass to those residents affected by the
National Highway widening. Does this mean that Goans will now need to pay a
fee to use the road for travel within their very own village? Then this
would be as good as having a foreign land within one's own village (like
the SEZ) which requires a visa to be visited. Will there be an alternate
village road provided for the villagers if they need to go to the other side
of the National Highway in their own village? How many kilometers will the
villagers need to travel before they will be able to access a sub-way to go
to the other side of the NH?
The claim that wide roads will prevent accidents is simply ridiculous.
Taking the instance of the road widening from Mapusa to Panaji over the
years, has there been a decrease in accidents Mr. Alemao?
